Happy Holidays!

As we embark on the holiday season, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone affiliated with the Academy, as well as to the dedicated wound care professionals who tirelessly heal their patients every day. Your unwavering commitment to excellence is truly commendable.

Looking ahead, the upcoming year presents exciting opportunities for growth both in the United States and internationally. We are actively finalizing plans to expand APWH's outreach beyond our domestic borders. Furthermore, we are thrilled to introduce a variety of new resources designed to enhance your clinical skills, including engaging webinars, updated certification education, live onsite workshops, and conferences.

In the realm of education, we are pleased to announce the launch of our Prescribers Advanced Wound Management Certification Course. Additionally, we are partnering with The American College of Lower Extremity Surgeons (ACLES) to host a special weekend conference in April 2025 at the Marriott Detroit in Livonia, Michigan. We are currently finalizing the agenda, with registration set to open later this month. Keep an eye out for further email communications. Please save the dates: April 24-27

I would also like to remind all CMET certification holders to verify their certification expiration dates. Your hard work in obtaining these credentials is essential, and we encourage you not to let them lapse. We frequently receive requests to confirm current certification status, and if they have expired, we must communicate that status. Remember, you can recertify during the final year of your certification, with three (3) optional pathways available for recertification. If you are unsure of your expiration date, please check your online profile at apwh.org or reach out to our office at [email protected].

As we progress into the new year, we are excited to unveil a refreshed website featuring enhanced functionality and an improved user experience. A new "Communities" will be introduced, allowing you to connect with fellow members who share similar interests.

Thank you once again for your dedication and hard work. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!
